Wasp Nest Removal
One of the last problems that homeowners or businesses want to face is to find a wasp’s nest in or around their property. Wasp nest removal and wasp nest control is part of the professional service we offer. You can rest assured that any work we do is controlled safety that will not harm humans or family pets.
You mustn’t try and investigate or attempt to destroy a nest yourself. These pests are highly aggressive and will attack humans and sting them repeatedly if the nest is disturbed. However, if you are unsure whether you have a wasp infestation, here are some ways to identify them.
Features of wasps
Wasps are pests that are bright yellow with dark markings. They have a tapered ‘wasp waist’ and are about 1-2 centimetres in length. Inside an average nest will be hundreds of wasps.
Types of wasps found in the UK
The most common wasps found around Manchester, Merseyside, and Cheshire are the German and Common wasps. In northern parts of the UK, we can also find Norwegian Wasps and Tree Wasps. The Giant Wood Wasp is 5cm in length and has a long tube at the rear. This type of pest looks terrifying but is harmless to humans, as is the Solitary Wasp.
Wasp nests
This is constructed from bits of wood and looks off-white and ‘papery.’ It starts small and round like a ball. These pests begin to build in late spring, with the queen and just a few workers. As the summer progresses, the nest gets bigger and becomes more cone-shaped, with much more activity. It could grow up to two feet long, and when the queen leaves to find a suitable place to hibernate, the wasps that are left become very aggressive. When the queen finishes hibernating and wakes up, the cycle begins the following year again.
The location of wasp nests
Nest is often found in walls and roofs, but this pest will settle anywhere it considers suitable. The tiny or big ‘papery’ cone, which could be attached virtually anywhere, is the sign to look out for. Nests have been found:
- On a window
- Under a slate roof
- In An attic
- Even in a fitted wardrobe
Wasp control services
It is critical for your welfare that you do not try to investigate a nest yourself. A wasp nest removal is a difficult job that is best left to a professional. Any attempt to remove a nest yourself could lead to injury to you, your family, people in the vicinity and pets. In addition, the stings are painful and are potentially fatal by causing swelling that blocks airways or anaphylactic shock.
Our wasp control eradication service offers a quick, professional, and economical way to get rid of wasp nests permanently.

Will one treatment stop all wasps?
One professional visit usually removes the nest, but monitoring may be needed to prevent new colonies forming nearby.
