The business was founded in September 2009 by me after recognising the need for a reliable local pest control company that customers could trust. Since then, Young’s Pest Control has helped thousands of homeowners, landlords, and businesses deal with pest problems quickly and effectively.

Our Story

Young’s Pest Control began as a local family business with the goal of providing professional pest control services with honest pricing and reliable service.

I founded the company in 2009 after seeing a gap in the market for a local pest control company that customers could depend on.

Although I had never worked in the pest control industry before starting the business, I had spent much of my life controlling pests in rural environments. From a young age, I spent much of my spare time hunting rabbits with dogs and ferrets and controlling rats on farms and land.

I also spent many hours shooting pigeons and controlling vermin, gaining a strong understanding of pest behaviour and control methods.

That lifelong interest in pest control and countryside skills eventually led me to start Young’s Pest Control, turning a personal passion into a professional service.

In 2010, my brother Scott Young joined the business, helping expand the company and support a growing number of customers across the region.

Today Young’s Pest Control remains a family-run business, with my brother and me working together to provide a reliable and personal service to every customer.

Rick Young – Founder

I founded Young’s Pest Control in September 2009 and have over 35 years of experience dealing with pest problems.

My knowledge comes not only from professional pest control work but also from a lifetime spent controlling pests in rural environments. My hands-on experience and practical knowledge allow me to quickly identify infestations and provide effective pest control solutions.

I focus on ensuring that pest problems are dealt with properly and safely, helping customers protect their homes and businesses.

Scott Young – Pest Control Technician

Scott Young joined the business in 2010 and works alongside me as a professional pest control technician.

Scott works with a wide range of customers including homeowners, landlords, and commercial businesses, carrying out inspections and treatments for all the pests the company deals with.

Together, Scott and I run Young’s Pest Control as a trusted local family-run pest control company.
