Common Areas We Treat
Attics and Loft Spaces
Our experience in pest control has shown that attics and loft spaces are prone to infestation due to their secluded and undisturbed nature. These areas provide an ideal environment for pests like mice to thrive. Limited human activity, warmth, insulation, and clutter accumulation offer hiding places and nesting sites. To effectively control mice, thorough inspection for droppings and our proper pest control measures are essential.
Basements and Cellars
Basements and cellars are common areas for infestation of pests, such as mice. These areas provide mice with the ideal conditions for nesting, including darkness, moisture, and ample food sources. Mice can easily access basements and cellars through small cracks or gaps in the foundation or walls. It is crucial to immediately address any signs of mouse infestation in these areas. Our 24-hour mice exterminators are equipped to handle these situations efficiently and effectively.
Kitchen Areas
Kitchen areas are prone to pest infestations, especially mice, because of the ample food sources and potential hiding spots available. Crumbs, spills, and improperly stored food attract mice, while kitchen cabinets, pantries, and appliances offer numerous hiding places. Mice can enter the kitchen through small gaps or cracks in walls, floors, or windows. We can help protect your kitchen from mice with our effective pest management, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation.
Garages and Sheds
Moving on from kitchen areas, another common area that requires mice eradication is garages and sheds. These areas are prone to infestation due to the abundance of hiding spots, food sources, and nesting materials. Mice can easily find their way into these structures through small openings or gaps. Once inside, they can cause damage to stored items and wiring, posing a fire hazard. Regular inspections and sealing of entry points are essential to prevent mice from taking up residence in garages and sheds.
Pest Control for Mice in Commercial and Residential Areas
Residential
Mice in residential areas can cause significant damage and health risks. They chew through wiring, leading to electrical fires, and contaminate food with droppings and urine, causing food poisoning. Mice also spread diseases through droppings and by carrying parasites like fleas and ticks. These risks apply to various types of properties, including flats, detached houses, semi-detached homes, and apartments or bungalows.
Commercial
Pest control for mice in commercial areas is essential to protect businesses from the damage and health risks caused by these rodents. Mice can wreak havoc in various types of properties, including restaurants, cafes, and pubs, where they contaminate food and leave behind droppings. They can also infest warehouses, jeopardising the integrity of stored goods. Additionally, mice pose a threat to food production outlets and shops, as they can damage packaging and equipment. Prompt and effective pest control is crucial to safeguarding businesses from these detrimental effects.

Very nice man told exactly what will happen and said about a week they will be gone then il block up the brick work , and if they have not gone by then he will come back again guaranteed and no charge thank you .Posted on Jacqueline HadfieldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I could not fault the service which I used for a wasp nest above a bedroom window. After contacting the company I received a phone call back within a few minutes to book the treatment the following day. Unfortunately it was raining heavily and someone phoned to say the treatment is not fully effective in the rain and they would prefer to postpone. The wasps were getting in the house and they suggested we try to put tape around any possible access points, which we did. Another day was booked but unfortunately the same thing occurred. This is Manchester after all. I was given the option of going ahead or postponing again and chose the latter as I wanted it to be as effective as possible. On the next appointment day, which was dry, they phoned and said they would be at my home in 20 minutes. Sure enough they were. I got a good explanation of what they did, how the wasps would react, how long it would take to work and I could watch the process. I pointed out where the wasps were gathering and straight away the technician saw another, smaller nest area. They treated both very quickly with no mess. In view of having to change the date twice they just charged for one treatment, despite me saying it wasn't their fault. I was very impressed with the overall service, the informative description of the process and the fact that within two days there were no more signs of wasps. If there has been they said they come back and do another treatment for no extra charge. I was even asked if I minded them staying on the drive whilst they contacted the next customer. Youngs Pest Control give a brilliant, efficient, informative and friendly service. If I could give ten stars in the review I would.Posted on AndrewTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. How do I know if I have Mice?
There are several signs to look out for in your home or business to determine if you have a mouse infestation:
- Keep an eye out for droppings, which are small and pellet-shaped.
- Check for gnaw marks on furniture, wires, or baseboards. You may also notice a strong, musky odour. Look for chewed food packaging or crumbs as well.
- Listen for scratching sounds or the pitter-patter of tiny feet.
If you notice any of these signs, it’s time to take action against mice.
Do Mice affect your health?
After identifying the signs of a mouse infestation in your home or business, it is important to understand the potential impact these pests can have on your health. Mice pose significant health risks due to their ability to carry and transmit diseases. Here are three key ways mice can affect your health:
- Contamination of food and surfaces with urine, droppings, and saliva leads to the spread of bacteria and viruses.
