Badgers are protected under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 this includes their setts. Badgers are a common problem for building projects. Lucky enough we can do something about this but Natural England has to grant a Licence if any destruction work is carried out close to a badger sett or for removal or badger set closures etc.Sometimes a badger sett has to be removed for building work to be carried out so a license is likely to be granted in the months between July and November as this outside their breeding season. So if you have badgers on your land please consider them before you plan any work.Few handy links
