Walton Bumblebee Hive Removal
If you discover a nest of bumblebees on your property, it is vital to get it removed as soon as possible. These nests can be dangerous and pose a number of risks to both people and animals. This article post will discuss the dangers of having a bumblebee nest on your property and the importance of getting it removed by a professional. We will also provide information on identifying a bumblebee nest and where you can find help if you need it.
It is vital to Walton Bumblebee Hive Removal for several reasons. The first reason is that they can be dangerous. They can sting, and the nests are often located in areas where people are present. This can lead to someone getting hurt. Another reason is that they can be a nuisance. Their nests usually smell, and they are an eyesore in your garden. Finally, not forget that their stings give off venom that is sometimes deadly to those with an allergic reaction.
Nesting sites
Bumblebees are common in the UK and can be found nesting in various places. The most common nesting sites for bumblebees are sheltered areas such as under roof tiles, compost heaps, or abandoned rodent burrows. They will also nest in gardens, where flowers and herbs can attract them. Other areas around the home where bumblebee nests can be found are garages, sheds, and even hollow tree trunks.
While bumblebees are generally not aggressive, they can sting if they feel threatened. The sting of a bumblebee is not usually harmful to humans, but it can be harrowing. In addition, if you are allergic to bee stings, you may experience more severe reactions such as swelling, difficulty breathing, or anaphylactic shock.
Bombus hortorum, the garden bumblebee, is a eusocial species of bumblebee found in gardens and other urban areas throughout Europe and western Asia. It nests in small cavities, often taking over old mouse nests. In addition to this, bees are capable of stinging humans if they feel threatened.
Bombus hypnorum, or the tree bumblebee, is a species of bumblebee that has recently spread to the UK. These bees are known to build their nests in trees, which can pose a risk to both humans and animals if they are located on your property.
Bombus pratorum, the early bumblebee or short-haired bumblebee, is a eusocial species of bumblebee found in western Europe. Carl Linnaeus first described it in his 1758 10th edition of Systema Naturae. The short-haired bumblebee has a black and yellow body with a maximum length of around 20 millimetres (0.79 in). B. pratorum nests in small groups containing up to 50 individuals. The nests are built in various locations, including hollow trees, rock crevices and old mouse nests.

I could not fault the service which I used for a wasp nest above a bedroom window. After contacting the company I received a phone call back within a few minutes to book the treatment the following day. Unfortunately it was raining heavily and someone phoned to say the treatment is not fully effective in the rain and they would prefer to postpone. The wasps were getting in the house and they suggested we try to put tape around any possible access points, which we did. Another day was booked but unfortunately the same thing occurred. This is Manchester after all. I was given the option of going ahead or postponing again and chose the latter as I wanted it to be as effective as possible. On the next appointment day, which was dry, they phoned and said they would be at my home in 20 minutes. Sure enough they were. I got a good explanation of what they did, how the wasps would react, how long it would take to work and I could watch the process. I pointed out where the wasps were gathering and straight away the technician saw another, smaller nest area. They treated both very quickly with no mess. In view of having to change the date twice they just charged for one treatment, despite me saying it wasn't their fault. I was very impressed with the overall service, the informative description of the process and the fact that within two days there were no more signs of wasps. If there has been they said they come back and do another treatment for no extra charge. I was even asked if I minded them staying on the drive whilst they contacted the next customer. Youngs Pest Control give a brilliant, efficient, informative and friendly service. If I could give ten stars in the review I would.Posted on AndrewTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. How Weather Affects Bumblebees In Walton
Bumblebee nests are highly affected by weather conditions. Warm, dry spells boost activity and colony growth, often leading to larger nests near gardens or properties. In contrast, colder or wetter periods slow them down, but once conditions improve, bumblebees quickly become more active and noticeable around homes.
