Stockbridge Village Bumblebee Hive Removal

Did you know that bumblebees are dangerous to have around your home if you’re allergic? They can sting you and release toxins that can make you very sick. As a general rule, if you aren’t sure whether you’re allergic to them, you should avoid them altogether. Instead, keep an eye out for these pesky critters and get rid of them if they start buzzing around your property. Considering prevention is always better than cure, we recommend you contact Stockbridge Bumblebee Nest Removal Service Near Me! As an allergic person, you should be aware of the dangers of having bumblebees around your house.

Nests

Often found in trees and shrubs. Some bumblebees will nest in the ground, but others like to build their nests up high. You’ll usually find them in tree trunks or inside branches or bushes, where they can protect themselves from contact with predators such as squirrels and birds. In addition, nests are often found in old mouse nests, birdhouses, and even abandoned beehives.

What is the breeding cycle of the Queen Bumblebee?

Their breeding cycle begins in late winter or early spring when the queen starts to build her nest. First, she will lay eggs, and then the workers will take over, gathering food and caring for the young.

Over the course of the summer, the nest becomes larger and can contain up to 400 bees by August. By this time, the colony will have stopped producing new workers, consisting of the queen, the new potential queens, and the male drones. The colony will begin to die off in late fall as the weather turns colder, with only the new queens surviving to overwinter.

Shrill Carder Bumblebee

The Shrill carder Bumblebee, also known as the Bombus sylvarum, is a small, black and yellow bumblebee native to the UK. They are about 12-14 mm long and are easily recognizable by their bright markings.

Tree Bumblebee

Bombus Hypnorum (Tree Bumblebee) are large bumblebees, between 10cm-12.5 cm long, with a noticeable yellow thorax and abdomen, blackhead and limbs. The Tree Bumblebee is a relatively new species to the UK, first appearing in 2001, and has now become well established across much of the southern half of England.

Red-tailed Bumblebee

The Red-tailed Bumblebee is a medium-sized, black and yellow bumblebee. It is often seen hovering around flowers, searching for nectar. There are many meadows, gardens and parks in the UK where this bee can be found. The Red-tailed Bumblebee nests underground, usually in abandoned rodent burrows.

White-tailed Bumblebee

White-tailed bumblebees are around 12-15 mm long and can be black, brown or yellow in colour. They are often mistaken for honey bees but can be easily identified by the white marking on their tails. White-tailed bumblebees nest in cavities such as old mouse nests, bird boxes or holes in the ground.

Suppose you are experiencing a bumblebee infestation in your home. In that case, it is crucial to choose an expert service like Stockbridge Bumblebee Nest Removal. Do not try to treat the problem with DIY products- this can be dangerous and ineffective. Infestations can happen rapidly, so it is vital to take action as soon as possible. Keep your family safe by choosing a qualified professional to deal with your bumblebee problem.

How Weather Affects Bumblebees In Stockbridge Village

Bumblebee nests are highly affected by weather conditions. Warm, dry spells boost activity and colony growth, often leading to larger nests near gardens or properties. In contrast, colder or wetter periods slow them down, but once conditions improve, bumblebees quickly become more active and noticeable around homes.
